Oil Pipe Anticorrosion Tape ( Petroleum Pipeline Anticorrosive Tape )
Oil Pipe Anticorrosion Tape ( Petroleum Pipeline Anticorrosive Tape ) Is Composed Of Base Film And Adhesive Layer. The Base Film Is Polyethylene Film And The Adhesive Layer Is Butyl Rubber. It Has Good Mechanical Strength And Adhesive Sealing Performance.
According To Its Function, It Can Be Divided Into Anti-Corrosion Belt (Inner Belt), Protective Belt (Outer Belt) And Patching Belt. According To The Requirements Of Anti-Corrosion Coating Grade, It Can Be Divided Into Ordinary Grade, Reinforced Grade And Extra Reinforced Grade. It Is Mainly Used In Oil, Natural Gas Transmission, Chemical Industry, Urban Construction Of Water Supply And Drainage, Gas Transmission And Other Buried Steel Pipeline Surface Anti-Corrosion, With The Characteristics Of Convenient Construction, No Pollution And So On.
Construction Technology Of Anticorrosive Tape For Oil Pipeline: Steel Pipe Surface Treatment - Brush Primer - Tape Winding.
Pretreatment Requirements:
1, Remove Welding Slag, Burr, Grease And Dirt On The Surface Of Steel Pipe. For Pipelines With Major Repair Of Anticorrosive Coating, Proper Methods Should Be Used To Remove The Original Anticorrosive Coating And Residue.
2, The Quality Of Rust Removal By Mechanical Or Sand Blasting (If Sand Blasting Is Specially Specified) Shall Reach St3 Or Sa2 Specified In Gb / t8923-1998 "Rust Grades And Rust Removal Grades Of Steel Surface Before Painting".
3, After Rust Removal, The Exposed Defects On The Steel Pipe Surface Shall Be Treated, The Dust And Abrasive On The Attached Surface Shall Be Removed, And The Steel Pipe Surface Shall Be Kept Dry. In Case Of Rust Or Surface Contamination, Surface Pretreatment Must Be Carried Out Again.
Priming:
1. The Time Interval Between The Pretreatment Of Steel Pipe Surface And The Application Of Primer Should Be Controlled Within 6 Hours, And The Steel Pipe Surface Must Be Dry And Dust-Free.
2. The Primer Shall Be Well Mixed In The Container. When The Primer Is Thickened, The Diluent Matching With The Primer Should Be Added, And The Construction Can Only Be Carried Out When The Viscosity Of The Dilution Channel Is Appropriate. The Primer Can Be Sprayed With a Clean Brush, Roller Or Some Other Mechanical Method.
3. The Primer Applied On The Steel Pipe Shall Be Free Of Defects Such As Missed Coating, Bubble, Clot And Sagging, And Shall Form a Uniform Film. The Thickness Shall Be Greater Than Or Equal To 30 Microns. The Welding Seam Should Be Painted Carefully To Prevent Leakage.
4. After The Surface Of Primer Is Dry (Under Normal Temperature And Natural Air Flow, It Generally Takes 5-10 Minutes), The Tape Can Be Wrapped. Special Attention Should Be Paid To The Surface Dry Time When The Temperature Is Low Or During The Trench Construction To Ensure The Surface Dry Of The Lower Part Of The Steel Pipe.
5. The Time Interval Between Painting Primer On The Surface Of Steel Pipe And Wrapping Should Be Controlled Within 8 Hours, And The Surface Of Primer Should Be Dry And Dust-Free (Wrapping Should Be Done Immediately When The Wind And Sand Is Large Or The Air Humidity Is High). If More Than 8 Hours Or Overnight, The Primer Should Be Re Applied Before Winding The Tape.
6. When Using Primer, Pay Attention To Safety, Prevent Splash, And Keep Away From Fire Source. After The Primer Is Used, The Remaining Primer Shall Be Poured Back Into The Original Iron Container In Time And The Container Shall Be Sealed To Prevent The Volatilization And Waste Of Primer.
7. In General: Hand Brushing: 10-12 Square Meters Of Pipeline Area / l Primer; Mechanical Spraying: 18-20 m2 Pipeline Area / l Primer.
Tape Winding:
1. The Temperature Of Tape Unwinding Must Be Above 5 ℃, And The Anticorrosive Coating Construction Should Be Above - 5 ℃( Experience Has Proved That The Tape Winding Can Be Carried Out At a Lower Temperature Of - 30 ℃, But The Unwinding Temperature Should Be Ensured.) When The Ambient Temperature Is Lower Than 10 ℃, In Order To Ensure That The Adhesive Tape Has Good Bonding Strength Immediately, The Blowtorch Should Be Used To Heat The Steel Pipe And Bake The Adhesive Layer Of The Adhesive Tape.
2. If Necessary, The Weld Should Be Reinforced With 30-50 Mm Wide Narrow Tape, Which Should Be Covered On The Weld And Compacted By Hand Or Wooden Smooth Tools.
3. Use Appropriate Machinery Or Hand Tools To Spiral Wrap The Tape On The Primed Pipe According To The Lap Joint Requirements. The Tape Should Maintain a Certain Tension Force To Make The Tape Layer Closely Connected. When Winding The Tape, The Edge Seam Of The Tape Shall Be Parallel And Shall Not Be Twisted Or Wrinkled. There Should Be More Than 100 Mm Overlap At The Joint Of The Two Ends Of The Tape. If Necessary, Paint Primer On The Base Film At The End Of The Previous Section Of Tape Or Bake It Fully. After The Surface Is Dry, Lap The Starting End Of Another Section Of Tape. The Beginning And End Should Be Pressed Tightly With Smooth Wooden Tools To Prevent Them From Warping.
4. The Use Of Machinery Is a Powerful Measure To Ensure The Quality Of Tape Winding. It Is Difficult To Achieve Uniform Surface Quality And Consistent Tension Force By Hand Winding Tape. Only Under Special Circumstances, When Mechanical Construction Can Not Be Carried Out, Manual Winding Tape Can Be Used, But Narrow Tape Should Be Used.
5. Cold Or Hot Winding Construction Can Be Adopted For Factory Prefabricated Tape Winding, Which Can Be Tube Rotation (Manual Rotation Or Electric Rotation) Or Winding Equipment Rotation. 150-200 Mm Welding Reserved Section Shall Be Reserved At The End Of The Tube.
6. The Prefabricated Anti-Corrosion Pipe Shall Be Inspected According To The Requirements Of 8 Of This Standard. After Passing The Inspection, The Factory Certificate Shall Be Provided To The User.
7. When Aluminum Foil Tape Is Used For Anti-Corrosion Of Overhead Crossing Pipelines Or Household Risers, It Shall Meet The Relevant Construction Requirements In This Specification, But It Does Not Need To Carry Out Spark Testing.
